Developed for government officials, diplomats and professionals in the early to mid-stages of their careers, our online programs help you build and enhance critical foundational skills that set the stage for your professional success. We have taken special care to ensure that the collaborative, interactive experience you expect from ICTD carries through to our online programs. How are ICTD online programs delivered?
ICTD online programs feature structured content that will guide you and your fellow students through a successful and energizing learning experience, with interactive exercises and opportunities to discuss concepts with your peers as you progress through the lessons. In this way, you will participate in a vibrant online learning community, all on user-friendly learning management platform.
Who teaches in ICTD’s Executive Education online programs?
Participants in ICTD’s education online programs will learn from our world renowned faculty. These dynamic thought leaders bring to the online classroom the latest findings from their own research as well as theory from their respective disciplines.
Are ICTD programs available in languages other than English?
No. At this time, all ICTD online programming is offered in English and requires a high proficiency level in order to maximize your learning experience.
Do I need to come to campus to participate in ICTD online programs?
No, all of our programs are 100% online, and available to participants regardless of their location.
Do I need to log into an ICTD online program at specific times?
There are no set class times and participants are able to complete the work on a schedule that works best for them. That said, there are certain deadlines that must be met on a weekly basis with the goal of keeping the cohort focused on the same topics to maximize learning outcomes.
Can I work ahead of the program pace?
For all programs, new modules and exercises will be released on a regular schedule so you are not able to work ahead.
Will I have access to the materials in a module after I complete it?
Yes. You will have access to the program learning platform for a period of up to 60 days following the end of the program.
How do I enroll in a program?
Registration is quick and easy. Complete the online registration form available on our webpage. After submitting your registration, you will receive an email confirmation from ICTD. If you do not receive this email, please check your junk email folders. Can I register for a program on behalf of someone else?
Yes. HR and administrative professionals may submit a registration form on behalf of someone else by using the participant’s name and email address. For group registration assistance, please call ICTD at ____________ or email _______________
When should I submit my registration?
We recommend submitting your registration at least 30 days in advance of the program start date to ensure your spot as our programs often fill early.
How long will it take to process my registration?
Online program registrations are processed within two business days of receipt.
How do I access my ICTD program once I’ve registered?
You will receive an email prior to the start of the program for which you have registered with a link to log into the program platform.
What are the technical requirements and minimum bandwidth needed to participate in ICTD programs
- Access to a modern computer (Mac or PC) with a supported operating system installed
- Reliable high-speed internet access via cable, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or another internet connection (The minimum viable connection speed to stream video reliably is 768 kilobits per second (equal to .768 megabits per second). We recommend a connection speed of at least 5 megabits per second for an optimal experience with HD capability
- Reliable Internet Service Provider (ISP)
- An up-to-date version of a reliable Internet browser (see links to recommended versions under the ‘Internet Browsers’ page)
- A head set if you are not working in a private space
- Sound card and speakers for watching course videos
- Adobe Reader and Flash Player
- Multimedia plug-ins that allow your browser access online video or interactive features, including Adobe Flash Player (version 29 or 30)

Mac users: you may also need the Preview program that comes with OS X for viewing most Pdf documents

Can I earn academic credit for participating in an ICTD online Executive Education program?
No. Academic credit is not earned for participation in ICTD’s online Education programming. You will, however, join ICTD’s global community of learners and will have the opportunity to build relationships with peers from around the world.
What do I receive upon completion of the program?
Upon successful completion of an online program, participants will receive an ICTD Certificate of Participation. Certificates are delivered electronically to your preferred email address after the program ends.
Will I need to purchase any materials?
No. Your program fee covers all materials that will be accessed on the learning platform. You will not be required to purchase anything else or pay any additional fees for our programs.
Are there any discounts available for ICTD online programs?
Yes. ICTD offers a 30% discount for all partner Universities, NGOs and ICTD alumni. Please check the box on the registration form that indicates you are an alum. Our Registrar will confirm your status and your invoice will be adjusted to reflect your discount.
Groups of five or more from a single organization who participate in the same cohort may be eligible for a discount if registrations are received at the same time. Please contact us at ________________ or ________________for specific instructions and assistance or for other questions about pricing.
When is payment due?
Enrollment is not confirmed until full payment is received. Payment may accompany the registration, or an invoice can be sent. Full payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date. If the participant is enrolling within 30 days of the program’s start date, full payment is due immediately.
What types of payment are accepted?
- Check: Checks must be drawn on U.S. banks and payable in U.S. funds to “ICTD”
- Wire Transfer: Wire transfers must be accompanied by our bank information available on the invoice or by contacting our registrar at ___________________________
- Credit Card: We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express for all our programs.
Can I pay online?
What is ICTD’s cancellation policy?
Notice of cancellation must be received in writing to ___________________________ and the following schedule of refund amounts prior to the program start date will apply:
- >30 days — Full refund
- 7-30 days — 50% refund
- <7 days — No refund
Refunds will be issued in the same format as originally received.
ICTD reserves the right to cancel a program at any time for any reason. In the unlikely event of a program cancellation, paid program fees will be refunded.
